The Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea on January 5.
The LPRP Central Committee in its message extended warm comradely greetings and congratulation to the WPK Central Committee and the participants in the 8th Congress of the WPK and, through the Congress, to all the WPK members and the fraternal Korean people on behalf of all the members of the LPRP and the Lao people on the occasion of the Congress.
The message said that the 8th Congress of the WPK comes to be a historic political event to review the implementation of decisions made at its 7th Congress and set forth a new line for firmly defending and further developing socialism under the banner of the Juche idea and Songun and realizing the peaceful reunification of the country.
It expressed the belief that the Korean people would successfully carry out the decisions to be made at the 8th Congress of the WPK under the correct and bold guidance of the WPK led by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who carries forward the cause of the preceding leaders President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, and thus achieve better happiness.
Extending sincere congratulation to the WPK and the fraternal Korean people upon big successes they have achieved in the past, the message wished the 8th WPK Congress good results.
It also hoped that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between Laos and the DPRK would steadily grow strong and thus bring tangible benefits to the peoples of the two countries and contribute to the regional and global peace and friendship.
