A few years ago, Singaporean newspaper The Straits Times carried an article introducing everyday life of the Korean people. The following is the main content:
“The daily lives of the Korean people we saw during our stay in Pyongyang were very impressive.
“In Moran Hill of Pyongyang many old people spent a pleasant time, dancing or doing exercises.
“It was very interesting to see a Children`s Union member hold a grandmother by her hand on a zebra crossing to help her cross the road safely and kindly say goodbye to her before leaving.”
It is a commonplace to see such a good manner everywhere across the country.
The aged people who have no children to depend on are also enjoying the remainder of their life without worries under the state care in the old people`s homes splendidly built in all parts of the country.
