The north-south general-level military talks took place at the “House of Peace” in the south side of Panmunjom on July 31 to implement the Panmunjom Declaration.
Present there were a delegation of the north side led by Army Lieutenant General An Ik San of the Korean People’s Army and a delegation of the south side with Major General Kim To Gyun as chief delegate.
At the talks the pending issues in defusing the military tension and removing the danger of a war on the Korean peninsula were sincerely discussed and there was an agreement to continue discussing and settling the necessary issues in the future.
