All the people across the country pay the noblest respect to the supreme sanctuary of Juche where the great leaders lie in state and the wish for their immortality with ardent yearning and in boundless reverence for the father of the nation on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.
The Supreme Leader was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.
He was also accompanied by Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, and members of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and members of the WPK Central Military Commission.
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great sages and the eternal Sun of Juche the Korean people acclaimed for the first time in the 5 000-year-long history of the Korean nation, lie in state, was wrapped in a solemn atmosphere.
Placed before the statues of the great leaders was a basket of flowers in the name of the Supreme Leader.
Floral baskets were also laid there in the names of the WPK Central Committee, the DPRK State Affairs Commission, the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The Supreme Leader, together with the participants, paid high tribute to the statues of the great leaders.
In the immortality halls where the great leaders are preserved in their lifetime appearances, he paid the highest tribute to them who had ushered in the new history of an independent and powerful country on this land and performed unprecedented feats before the country, the people, the times and the revolution.
The participants hardened their steadfast will to uphold the revolutionary ideas and feats of the great leaders and fully demonstrate to the whole world the might of the powerful and dignified socialist Korea where the dreams and ideals of the people come true under the leadership of the Supreme Leader.
