Songdowon

It is a scenic spot on the east coast of Korea 3 km northwest of Wonsan City.

It was named so because it looks like a surging wave sweeping along a grove of pine trees when seen from above. Clear and rippling waves, a vast area of beach, evergreen pine grove and sweet briers go well with each other.

Songdowon is a large recreation ground (with an area of over 500 hectares). It is divided into more than 10 sections including those of sea bathe, excursion to Jangdok Islet, garden sightseeing, the grove of pine trees and so on.
