“I Am Also a Member of the Party Cell”

It was one day in November 1945. An official was walking up and down the room where the party cell meeting was to be held in the presence of President Kim Il Sung, because he did not know what to do, as the table and chair to be used by the President were too simple.

As soon as the President went into the room, he guided the President to the table already prepared.

The President, however, sat on one of two benches to be seated by party members, saying that chairman of the meeting should sit before the table and party members should take part in the party cell life on an equal footing and he was also a member of the party cell.

The official and other party members who entered after him repeatedly asked the President to come out and sit before the table. However, the President declined their request to the last and told them that the place and formality are not mattered at the meeting but how to manage it effectively is mattered.

After a while, the party members sat on benches side by side in the presence of the President and the party cell meeting began.
