A Pastor Retakes His Fruit Garden

In March 1946, peasants were filled with delight as they received the land in the agrarian reform, and a pastor was confiscated his small field and fruit garden and spent the days with apprehension.

He was an honest clergyman of national conscience who supported faithfully the policy of nation building made by President Kim Il Sung and his estate did not belong to the objects of confiscation stipulated in the Law on Agrarian Reform.

Secretary general Kang Ryang Uk thought it over as he was also a clergyman, but could not understand it at all and reported it to the President.

The President said that it was an act a few officials interpreted the Law on Agrarian Reform at their pleasure and executed it falsely and partial mistakes might occur in reforming the land, so it was of importance to correct the false acts in time. He instructed that a directive should be made and sent to make sure that they would return the fruit garden to the pastor and not expel him.

When he heard the directive to come, the pastor was so excited and expressed his thankful greetings to the President again and again.
