Young People’s Exploits in Photo

The following happened in April 2019 when the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was providing field guidance at the city of Samjiyon, Ryanggang Province in the northern part of the country. During the guidance trip he visited the home of triplet sisters who settled there after they were discharged from the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade.

Looking round a room with a broad smile, he said that he was pleased to hear that the triplets liked their new house.

The sisters showed him a photo. They were so unceremonious that they looked like daughters in front of their father.

It was a photo he had taken with all the builders of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station at its inauguration ceremony in October 2015.

He told the girls to point at their positions in the photo. They competitively indicated their places.

He was keeping his eyes on the photo as if he were watching every shock brigade member who spent their youthful days in creating a legendary tale of heroic youth of Mt Paektu.

Then he said, pointing at the words Hero Youth inscribed on the dam of the power station in the photo:

Hero Youth, it was good that we had the words inscribed on the dam of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station. That dam is a creation of the faith and will of our young people.

He continued: The height and width of the dam are precisely those of our youth’s faith and will. Although they are making desperate attempts to thwart them, the enemies can never break up the solid faith and will of our young people to share their destiny with the Party.

Turning his eyes back to the photo, Kim Jong Un spoke highly of the exploits of the builders.
