In 2024, the DPRK has taken a measure aimed to decrease working hours and double the length of regular holidays particularly for women who bring up more than two children under eight years.
The DPRK has also issued a certificate of multi-children household to the families which begot more than three children or raise more than three including a step child.
The state allocates dwelling houses primarily to multi-children households and pays special subsidies to them according to the number of their children before leaving senior high schools.
Women and her families who received certificates of multi-children household are entitled to receive more benefits than others in hospitals and other sports and cultural and recreational service bases.
Like this, the more children the DPRK’s women have, the greater benefits they are granted from the state.
