One day in November 2016, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Samjiyon Schoolchildren’s Palace.
That day he dropped in at the room for math group to learn in detail about how many members were there in the group and how students actually got benefit from extracurricular education.
Saying to the officials that the Party organizations should not neglect the work of renovating and operating extracurricular education centres, he stressed that it is necessary to improve extracurricular education through schoolchildren’s palaces and that the education of the younger generation is an undertaking which the Party attaches great importance to.
After a while, looking round at the officials, he told them that now the educational sector was revealing a tendency of attaching importance to school education and neglecting extracurricular education and that it must not do so. His instruction incorporated his noble intention that there is no distinction between what is important and unimportant in the education of the rising generations and that nothing should be spared for the children.
