One August day in Juche 103 (2014), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Chollima Tile Factory.
An official of the factory told him that they were producing tiles with raw and other materials prepared by themselves while saving raw and other materials supplied by the state.
Speaking highly of the fact, Kim Jong Un said that the Songdowon International Children’s Camp was installed with the sanitary ware made at home, which were as good as those produced in other countries. He stressed the need for the construction sector to widely use homemade building materials.
Noting that the factory has a very important duty to perform in facelifting the appearance of the country by carrying out the Party’s plan and intention to usher in a golden age of construction, he set it as its basic task to minimize the production costs by relying on domestic raw materials and advanced science and technology and produce and supply a variety of quality tiles so as to meet the demand for them.
