One July day in Juche 104 (2015), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Vegetable Science Institute despite the sizzling summer heat.
Feasting his eyes on the vast greenhouses of the institute, he said that it was really wonderful and it looked like a sea of greenhouses. He added that the institute is not only large in scale but also laudable as it is a base where research is combined with production.
He noted that it is the firm determination of the Party to make the Korean people lead a rich dietary life as soon as possible and he would give full support to the institute, calling for its officials, scientists and employees to become standard-bearers in greenhouse farming.
After looking round the institute for hours, he stressed the need to boost vegetable production in greenhouses and expressed his determination to carry it through.
