On October 27, Juche 104 (2015), General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the Workers’ Party of Korea inspected the Sci-Tech Complex wonderfully built on the picturesque banks of the Taedong River.
That day, he paid a special attention to the issue of setting up a comprehensive information service system in the complex. In fact, he had already taken measures to enlist all manpower and means in establishing a comprehensive database involving all fields in order to make the complex fully discharge its mission as a hub of sci-tech dissemination.
After being briefed on the complex from an official, he spoke highly of the fact that a nationwide sci-tech dissemination network has been established centring on the complex.
And he added: The complex has been built properly. I am most satisfied with the establishment of the comprehensive information service system in the complex. Its huge amounts of sci-tech data standardized to meet international database standards are the precious wealth of the country.
He continued to say that the establishment of the comprehensive information service system in a year is equivalent to making a great leap forward of 10, 20 or 30 years in the efforts to develop the country’s science and technology, and that the Sci-Tech Complex is the sci-tech dissemination centre of national value which should be handed down through the generations.
After a while, he stressed: Everyone should learn science and technology in order to advance the revolution towards the future. To this end, everyone should come to the Sci-Tech Complex. The complex is as a ticket office for the train bound for the bright future.
