In those days when the country was lost, the Korean women had been kept ignorant and remained bound in social fetters by reason of a false crime they were born the women. But when it was that they began priding their endless dignity and honor and significantly celebrating the March 8 International Women’s Day.
It began from the very time when they had a great honor to acclaim President Kim Il Sung.
The President made a law and system to remedy the problem of women emancipation and made them the legitimate masters who have equal rights with men for building a new society.
As a result, the ranks of the women which constitute the mainstay of the country including the deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly, people’s scientists, people’s sportswomen, female heroes and airwomen have grown thick.
