International Kim Il Sung Prize is the highest international prize awarded to the adherents of the Juche idea.
The Council of International Kim Il Sung Prize was organized by distinguished personalities from the political, social and academic circles of the world in New Delhi, India, on the 81st birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung under the auspices of Bishwanath, the previous chairman of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and an ardent adherent of the Juche idea. According to the decision of this council, the International Kim Il Sung Prize was enacted on April 13 Juche 82 (1993).
It is being awarded to those who ardently follow the Juche idea created by the President and have made an excellent contribution to realizing global independence and peace.
It is to be awarded on April 15, the birthday of the President, according to the decision of the Council of International Kim Il Sung Prize.
The prize winners are awarded the certificates, the gold medals of International Kim Il Sung Prize and souvenirs made of precious metal.
