The country`s distance education has made rapid progress over the past 10 years since the first online course was added to Kim Chaek University of Technology in February 2010.
A well-knit online education system was established in major universities across the country, with a large number of working people having been enrolled at it while working.
The online education system through mobile telecommunications network was established, making it possible for lecturers to bring education closer to the practical needs at production sites and for the working people to choose and study subjects needed for their production practice in their occupations.
