A national art exhibition “75 Years of Victory and Glory” opened in celebration of the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Seen in the venue of the exhibition are national art treasures depicting the images of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who performed immortal exploits for the founding of the WPK and its development.
On display there are hundreds of excellent art pieces such as Korean paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, embroideries and handicrafts created by artists of the Mansudae Art Studio, the Korean Central Fine Arts Studio and other art studios and by amateur painters in Pyongyang and other provinces.
Its opening ceremony took place at the Okryu Exhibition Hall on October 5.
It was attended by Kim In Bom, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Art and Literature of Korea, officials and artists of fine art studios, and working people in Pyongyang.
An opening address was delivered there.
After the ceremony, the participants looked round the venue.
The exhibition will continue till November 3.
