The commemorative plaques dedicated to Chairman Kim Jong Il were put up in various places he inspected during his visit to Russia, including the Leningrad Metal Factory, the Khabarovsk Territorial Hall of Veterans, the Vlad Bread Factory, the Siberian State University of Communications, the Lenin Square Station of the Novosibirsk Metro.

The financial manager of the Ignat Trade Centre, who guided Chairman Kim Jong Il inspecting the centre, said that he felt keenly that the Chairman was very kind, unreserved and benevolent man. He added that the plaque honouring the Chairman and the gift left by him are the valuable treasures to be recorded in the history of the trade centre.
The first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that he looked back with deep emotion on the unforgettable day when a plaque recording the Chairman`s visit was put on the Gavan Hotel in Vladivostok, adding the plaques to him in various parts of the city reflect the reverence of the Russian people for the peerlessly great man.
