The Ryugyong Service Complex is a comprehensive and multifunctional service centre built on the bank of the Taedong River.
Occupying an area of 10 000 m², the complex has one underground floor and six floors above it, with a floor space of 17 000 m².
The first and second floors have two banquet halls and 17 dining rooms and rooms for roasting on griddle, which can accommodate over 300 persons at a time.
The dining rooms, named after flowers such as cosmos, lily of the valley and touch-me-not, are so laid out that the characteristics of the flowers are sustained in combination with the national form and modern aesthetic tastes. They are also equipped with state-of-the-art acoustic facilities.
The complex serves more than 180 kinds of dishes, scores of which are famous and unique to it, such as wangsilrokpojong, black glutinous rice and trepang broth and cold noodles in green tea. In particular, the rooms for roasting on griddle and other rooms are frequented by many people as they can have a meal after seeing with their own eyes the cooks cooking dishes for them.
The complex has a shop, bathroom, wading pool, barber’s, beauty parlour, table tennis room, fitness centre and rooms for practising cooking.
The underground parking lot can accomodate over 30 cars.
The complex has a good reputation among Koreans and foreigners thanks to the kindly service provided by the waitresses and wonderful Korean and other dishes prepared by the cooks.
