Visit to Kumsusan Palace of the Sun

Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star, the greatest national holiday of the DPRK.

He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.

Also among the visitors were Premier Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and member of the DPRK State Affairs Commission, and other members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee.

A basket of flowers presented by the Supreme Leader was laid at the statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Baskets of flowers were laid at the statues of the great leaders in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

The Supreme Leader, together with other visitors, made a deep bow to the statues.

In the hall where Kim Jong Il is preserved in his lifetime appearance, he paid high tribute to him.
