An Unusual Column of Military Parade

A grand military parade was held in Pyongyang in October Juche 104 (2015) in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Among the ranks of vivacious and spirited paraders was a column involving the members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade, stealing the limelight of the audience.

The following story contributed to this.

One day in September Juche 104 (2015) Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station nearing completion.

Looking round several places of the power station that day, he said that the young people of the DPRK are very admirable. They have waged a high-pitched drive day and night for over 120 days since he visited the construction site in April to create the world-startling legendary tale of heroic youth, he noted, adding that it could be created only by the young people of the DPRK who have been educated and trained in the embrace of the WPK and all of them are heroes. He reposed the deepest trust in them by naming the power station the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station.

Whenever the country faced difficulties and trials, the young people always assured him, he said, adding that he had the firm confidence that the Korean revolution would surely emerge victorious as he had such a large contingent of young people. Then he took a benevolent measure to make them march in the military parade to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the WPK.

As a result, the unusual column of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade could appear in the military parade.
