The 22nd anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il`s election as the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the 74th founding anniversary of the WPK were celebrated in splendour in the DPRK.
An endless stream of visitors flowed to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are preserved in their lifetime appearance.
Working people, service personnel, youth and students also visited the statues and portraits of beaming images of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and in other places to pay tribute to them.
Performances, dancing parties, sports games and other events were held in all parts of the country including Pyongyang, Phyongsong, Haeju, Kanggye and Hamhung.
Celebrating the October holidays, all the Korean people were filled with burning enthusiasm to add glory to the undying exploits for Party building of the President and the Chairman for all ages and dynamically step up the building of a socialist power, closely rallied around Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
