The national memorial service was held with solemnity in Pyongyang on the 25th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un attended the ceremony.
The participants paid a silent tribute in deep reverence to the memory of President Kim Il Sung.
The memorial address said that the President had devoted his all to his country and people, socialism and global independence for seven decades since he embarked on the road of revolution, describing his history of struggle as the most devoted and sacred record that cannot be found in any biography of great men.
It also emphasized that his noble revolutionary career and exploits will be immortal along with the eternal prosperity of socialist Korea and the victorious advance of the cause of global independence for the masses of the people, adding that the President will always live in the hearts of the people, humankind, as the Sun of Juche.
That day, similar events were held in all provinces, cities, counties and industrial complexes on the same occasion.
The memorial meetings fully manifested the participants’ unshakable faith and will to carry out the patriotic wishes of the peerlessly great men for building a powerful nation by translating into reality the revolutionary ideas and cause of President Kim Il Sung.
