On the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star, baskets of flowers were sent to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang by the national chairman of the People’s Progressive Party of Nigeria, the bereaved family of internationalist Ya. T. Nobichenko, Jong Il Sim, widow of DPRK Hero An Tong Su, family of Kim Sun Ok who was related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and Jindallae Saphariny, president of the Jindallae Children’s Foundation.
The flower baskets were laid at the statues on February 14 and 15.
Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Great Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and Megawati Sukarnoputri, general chairwoman of the Central Directive Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, sent floral baskets to the DPRK embassies in their countries on the same occasion.
