Commemorative Stamp Issued, Korean Stamps Exhibited

The State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK issued a new stamp (sheetlet) on the occasion of the 77th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Seen in the stamp are the rare gifts the heads of state of various countries, especially China and Russia, presented to the Chairman with profound reverence for the peerlessly great man and veteran statesman of the world politics.

On the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star, one of the greatest national holidays, Korean stamps, on the theme of “Great Life”, were exhibited in a concentrated way at the Korean Stamps Exhibition Hall from February 13 to 22.

Hung at the exhibition hall were the stamps bearing beaming President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Put on show at the venue were the stamps showing the revolutionary career of the Chairman who had devoted his whole life to the country and people, as well as those showing the image of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as a peerlessly great man who brilliantly translates into reality on this land the patriotic desire of the great leaders for a thriving country building.

The stamps showing the proud changes in the DPRK were also displayed, including the “Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp”, “Ryomyong Street”, “Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans” and “Munsu Water Park”.
