Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan, India, Qatar, Nepal, Pakistan, Belarus, Brazil, the UAE and many other countries released statements to acclaim the inter-Korean summit meeting and talks.
They said the Panmunjom declaration constitutes a foundation for final peace making and hoped that the talks would pave the way for détente, lasting peace and reconciliation on the Korean peninsula.
They called on parties concerned to pursue a path of dialogue and diplomacy to defuse the tension, to refrain from committing any act of disturbing regional peace and stability, and to strive to seek a comprehensive settlement of the peninsula issue.
