DPRK High-level Delegation Watches Women’s Ice Hockey Match with S. Korean President

The DPRK high-level delegation led by Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, on February 10 watched, together with south Korean President Moon Jae In and his wife, a women’s ice hockey match between the unified team of the north and the south of Korea and the Swiss team in the 23rd Winter Olympics.

Among the audience were the DPRK National Olympic Committee delegation and Swiss President Alain Berset, President of the IOC Thomas Bach and other foreign guests, sports fans and south Koreans.

The cheering groups of the north and the south and south Koreans burst into warm applause and cheers while waving the flags of the Korean peninsula to inspire the players of the unified team skillfully driving the puck, calling each other by the same language and pooling efforts.

The appearance of the players and the impressive picture of the cheering groups made the spectators feel keenly once again that the Korean nation is a homogeneous nation which cannot live separated from each other.

At the end of the match, Kim Yong Nam and Kim Yo Jong met and encouraged the players of the unified team together with Moon Jae In and had a photo session with them.
