Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu was held in Pyongyang on August 15 Juche 106 (2017) as a grand meeting for praising the Sun and revering the great persons to be remembered forever in the history of mankind.
Handed over at the meeting were the basket of flowers presented to the DPRK Supreme Leader by the participants in the 5th International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, and congratulatory banners, medals, honourary titles, prizes, diplomas and gifts the international and regional preparatory committees for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, international democratic organizations, and political parities, organizations, institutions and personages of various countries awarded and presented to the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu.
The co-chairman of the international preparatory committee for the gathering made a keynote speech, followed by other speakers.
The meeting adopted a letter to the DPRK Supreme Leader from the participants in the 5th International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu.
The gathering, which was held under the support of the world’s progressives in praise of the DPRK great persons, was a grand international meeting which fully demonstrated the desire and will of mankind to add glory to the immortal exploits performed by the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu for all ages.
