Commemorative plaques were unveiled at the Leningrad Metal Factory in St Petersburg City of Russia in memory of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Inscribed on the plaques are Korean and Russian letters reading: “Comrade Kim Il Sung, president of the Democratic People”s Republic of Korea, visited the Leningrad Metal Factory on October 24 1961” and “Comrade Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Leningrad Metal Factory on August 6 2001”
