In January 2018 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the reconstructed Pyongyang Teachers Training College.
He familiarized himself with the reconstruction and modernization project and teaching at the college while making the rounds of the room dedicated to its history, education and science exhibition hall, educational cybernetics room, multifunctional classrooms and other places. He was satisfied more than anything else with the fact that the college set a new example in the effort to improve the contents, methods, conditions and environment of education.
These successes were a brilliant fruition of his wise guidance as he led the college to improve its teaching contents and methods and renovate and modernize itself in keeping with the global trend of educational development.
That day, he underlined the importance of the duty of the college, saying that the success of the education of kindergarteners and primary school children depends on how the college trains its students.
He went on: Our Party attaches great importance to this college; I wish the teachers trained by the college will become strong roots and foundation for educating the rising generations; and with the Party’s intention in mind the college teachers should train well-qualified educators to this end and thus they should make a tangible contribution to strengthening the ranks of teachers for kindergartens and primary schools.
