One day in May Juche 105 (2016), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un looked round the exhibition of machines and equipment manufactured by the working class, scientists and technicians as a gift dedicated to the Seventh Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
On display were new-model 80hp tractor, a 5-ton lorry equipped with 115hp diesel engine, new-model bus, high-performance electric locomotive, multi-purpose fishing vessel, cargo ship of thousands of tons, CNC machine, various types of transformer, motor and aerogenerator, multi-purpose, multi-functional and high-efficiency farming machines and others.
Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction with the birth of modern machinery and equipment capable of effecting a new turn in the development of many sectors of the national economy. He was pleased with the new model of 80hp tractor.
The workers, scientists and technicians of the country, carrying forward the spirit of self-reliance displayed by the preceding generations in the building of the first Chollima tractor in the 1950s, broke the established idea that it would take more than six months each to make its design and technical preparations, and manufactured the tractor in a little over a month.
Looking at the tractor, Kim Jong Un said that it looked really handsome, adding that we made a giant stride in advancing under the slogan of self-reliance by building the new-model tractor in our own way.
