One September day in Juche 109 (2020), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the Kangbuk-ri seat in Kumchon County, North Hwanghae Province which was rebuilt after being damaged by heavy rain and strong wind.
Thanks to the efforts of service personnel of the Korean People’s Army, the seat was facelifted without any traces of natural disasters in a few short months.
Feasting his eyes on the farm village, he expressed great satisfaction.
In fact, when the service personnel arrived at the disaster-stricken area, they faced with a gruesome scene which looked like a battlefield after a fighting. They immediately buckled down to the rehabilitation and conducted a fierce 24-7 campaign to bring about the current reality.
Kim Jong Un said to the accompanying officials that our service personnel should be highly appraised as they performed proud labour achievements in the struggle to remove the traces of natural disasters and creditably performed their revolutionary mission as the army of the people.
Seeing kitchen utensils and other daily necessaries prepared by the families of officers of armed forces organs and the unit seconded to the project for the locals, he appreciated their deeds and said that was what the People’s Army should do. Feasting his eyes on vegetables and fruit trees that service personnel planted in kitchen gardens, he said they had done lots of such good things for the people during the period of rehabilitation campaign in the flood-stricken northern areas of the country in the past and that it is the tradition of the People’s Army to do good things for the people.
That day, he gave his thanks to the service personnel of the KPA for having realized one more wish of the Workers’ Party of Korea by successfully building Kangbuk-ri as a model village of socialist rural communities. And he asked the accompanying officials to convey to them his words and thanks that it was the greatest pride of our Party and our state and the biggest fortune for himself that we had such a powerful revolutionary army loyal to the country, the people, the Party and the revolutionary cause.
