One November day in Juche 101 (2012), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited again the People’s Open-air Ice Rink nearing completion.
Working people and children were busy skating there.
As he entered the ice rink, he looked at people skating over the partitioned glass window and said with pleasure that as the ice rink was built on the basis of cutting-edge technology, such a spectacular scene in which working people and youth and schoolchildren skate even in midsummer from next year would be unfolded.
He looked round various places of the ice rink to learn in detail about preparations for its operation. Expressing satisfaction at the fact that a roller rink is ready for operation, he said that we should encourage youth and schoolchildren to roller-skate and, then, many reserve hockey players would grow up.
With a broad smile on his face all the way, he said that the ice rink is an excellent facility for mass-based sports activities and it is necessary to open it to the public as soon as possible after its inauguration ceremony.
Visualizing the people enjoying themselves in the world-class People’s Open-air Ice Rink, he said that the image of skating children is a good view of looking into the bright future of the national sports.
