Baskets of Flowers Laid at Statues of Great Leaders

On the occasion of the holiday of April when the Sun of the nation rose, the DPRK service personnel and people paid the highest tribute and offered everlasting glory to President Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea and eternal leader of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Korean people.

Service members, working people, students and schoolchildren visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il across the DPRK including those on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang and laid baskets of flowers and bouquets there as a show of their respect for the great leaders who turned Korea, once a distress-stricken small and weak nation, into a powerful socialist country.

Members of the country offices of international organizations and visiting foreigners also paid floral tribute at their statues on Mansu Hill.

The ribbons over the flower baskets bore such letters as “The great Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il will always be with us” and “Their Excellencies Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il will live forever”.
