Ice Sculpture Festival Held

Ice sculpture festival 2018 was held in Samjiyon County at the foot of Mt Paektu in celebration of the Day of the Shining Star.

On display were more than 2 000 pieces of ice sculptures which were created with immense reverence for and fervent loyalty to Chairman Kim Jong Il. They unfolded an enchanting, mysterious view, blending in well with the snowscape of the thick forests of the mountain.

Those representing the immortal flower of Kimjongilia, slogan-bearing trees, people-bound train and thriving orchard fully mirrored the Korean people’s ardent reverence for and boundless loyalty to the Chairman.

Other exhibits included those representing the tremendous might of Juche Korea and the ever-changing, eye-opening reality of the country.
