War Won by Love

One day in November 1951, President Kim Il Sung got informed that a soldier’s family was in the enemy-controlled area not less than eight kilometers away from our troop’s position he was defending.

He was the soldier who became a hero of the Republic at the age of 18 as he had shot down five enemy planes during the period over a month.

The President read that the soldier must be very impatient as he got no news from his family looking at his native home in a short distance and then issued an order not only to save his family but also bring all things from his home.

Regarding this historical fact, a foreign press woman wrote in her article entitled “Brilliant Commander Kim Il Sung: He makes the United States feel sad”:

President Kim Il Sung put an end to the world history of army, the history of world wars in which love and kindness got buried into freezing barrack life and war storm. He was a brilliant commander who opened the door of soldiers and people’s hearts with the key of love and kindness.

Anyone can take a weapon, but any country can never take the fortress of unity made by the loving care of a great commander and people’s rewarding for it. It was actually the fortress the DPRK only took.
