On the first day of the New Year 1950, President Kim Il Sung gave a warm reception to boys and girls from Mangyongdae Revolutionary School at his residence.
Having received their New Year greetings, the President had lunch with them and asked them in detail about their school lives.
Time passed all too soon and evening came. Then, unwilling expressions appeared in their happy faces as they had to leave the President.
The President read their mind and kindly let them to stay overnight at his residence.
Thus, happy voices of their laughing came out endlessly from his lighted residence all night on the New Year’s Day.
The President had to see a lot of people and go to many places on the New Year’s Day, but he spent the day totally for them. He was indeed a real father to all of them.
