One day in May 1932, not less than a month since the revolutionary armed forces of the Korean people was founded President Kim Il Sung organized the first battle.
When he arrived at Xiaoyingziling of Antu County by making a quick march at night, the President let his unit ambush at a vantage ground. Officers and soldiers waited for his signal, holding back with patience their strong excitement and tension. He went round the areas of concealment and inspired them with confidence in victory.
When escorts entered the ambush completely along with twelve horse-sledges loaded with weapons and supplies the President shot a signal pistol. The pistol sound stroke into the valley and a shout went up.
Suddenly attacked, the enemies did not draw a strict distinction between friend and foe. So they fired at random taking heavy losses and finally surrendered. The ambush was a perfect success. All the officers and soldiers celebrated the victory with the greatest pleasure.
A battle is nothing special. Let us prepare for a bigger fight with confidence. We can win victory!
