Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the bier of Yang Hyong Sop, winner of Kim Il Sung Order and Kim Jong Il Order and former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, on Saturday to express deep condolences over his death.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Pak Jong Chon and Ri Pyong Chol, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, and Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the Party Central Committee.
Amid the playing of dirge, the hall was wrapped in bitter sorrow over the loss of a revolutionary soldier who remained faithful to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and a veteran revolutionary who contributed to firmly defending and adding lustre to the revolutionary idea and the cause of our Party.
A wreath in the name of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid before the bier of the deceased.
Kim Jong Un paid a silent tribute to the memory of Yang Hyong Sop who devoted all his wisdom and energy to the development of our people’s power and socialist system, the country’s prosperity and the people’s happiness.
With bitter grief over the loss of a dear revolutionary comrade, who had invariably remained faithful to the Party, the revolution, the country and the people all his life with high sense of Party spirit and revolutionary principle, he went round the bier of Yang Hyong Sop.
He offered his deep condolences to the family of the deceased and warmly consoled them.
