Day of Shining Star Significantly Marked in DPRK

The DPRK significantly celebrated the Day of the Shining Star, the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation.

On this occasion, a great number of people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the highest temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are preserved in their lifetime appearance, and paid high tribute before the mosaics of their smiling images.

The working people and service personnel visited the statues of the President and the Chairman on Mansu Hill and their statutes and the mosaics of their smiling images in other places across the country and paid high tribute to them.

Their faces are fraught with the ardent yearning for the Chairman who devoted his all to the prosperity and development of the country and people`s happiness in his lifetime.

Art performances were held at the theatres and open-air stages in Pyongyang and all provinces.

Colorful neon signs decorated in the streets of the capital such as Changjon Street and Ryomyong Street and in the provincial seats across the country added to the holiday atmosphere.
