At the foot of picturesque Mt Taesong in Pyongyang, capital of the DPRK, there stands the International Friendship Botanical House.
There are 800-odd species of rare gift plants presented to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il by the heads of dozens of party and state, prominent figures of all strata in the world`s five continents and overseas Koreans.
The botanical house has five greenhouses for gift plants including Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia greenhouses, and outdoor fields covering 20 hectares.
In the greenhouses, more than 100 species of plants are cultivated there every year by mirroring the profound reverence of the world`s progressive mankind for the peerlessly great men.
