It is the Buddhist temple of Koguryo period located in Tanphung Valley against the background of Asa Peak.
It is said that the present one was rebuilt in the early period of the feudal Joson dynasty. It was named after Woljong, the great Buddhist priest who built the temple. It consists of Manse Pavilion, Myongbu Temple, Suwol Hall and other accessory buildings around Kuknakbo Hall. Unique in architectural style and beautiful in landscape, it attracts many visitors.
