The Tokhung-ri Mural Tomb which is located in Tokhung-ri, Kangso County was built in 408 during the reign of Kwanggaetho, 24th king of Koguryo.
Written in the tomb there are more than 600 letters indicative of the time of the tomb.
There are also mural paintings showing the great strength of Koguryo.
The paintings describe a hero meeting 13 military governors under his control, and the lives of warriors and aristocrats in Koguryo.
In Juche 93 (2004), it was registered as a world cultural asset by UNESCO.
