One November day in Juche 101 (2012), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited a horse riding ground used by a unit of the Korean People’s Army on the outskirts of Pyongyang.
After riding a horse to examine the tracks he said the ground is quite suitable for riding and that the horse riding is a very good exercise for fostering bravery and courage. He then proposed turning it into a riding club for the physical exercise of working people, youth and children.
And he said it should be named “Mirim Riding Club” as it is located in the Mirim area.
Afterwards, the club was splendidly built in a short period of time as a comprehensive riding base for the people provided with all conditions and environment for riding and its training.
His thoughts and activities were always geared to promoting the people’s wellbeing.
During his guidance trip to several sectors in North Hamgyong Province in July Juche 107 (2018), he initiated removing an important military base in the Jungphyong area in Kyongsong County and building a large-scale vegetable greenhouse farm and tree nursery there, and entrusted the task to the Korean People’s Army.
As a result, hundreds of vegetable greenhouses, a tree nursery and dwelling houses have been built in a matter of over one year.
