Located beside Kim Il Sung Square, it was opened in December Juche 34(1945).
Displayed in the museum are thousands of pieces of valuable historical remains and materials showing the time-honoured history and brilliant culture of the Korean nation ranging from the primitive ages to the modern times.
The museum provides academic help to provincial history museums while making vigorous efforts for academic exchange and cooperation with its counterparts in other countries.
