The Economist captured the eyes of the world by newly publishing the name of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in English.
In an article on the first DPRK-US summit talks, the British magazine wrote the last letter of the name of the Supreme Leader “Un” in Korean pronunciation as “Won”, past form of an English word “win” meaning “to be victorious”.
Referring to this article, the world media commented that The Economist wrote the English letter “Un” in the name of Chairman Kim Jong Un as “Won” meaning that he “won” and that it did so to stress the point that the winner in the DPRK-US summit is not Trump, but Chairman Kim Jong Un.
