In his lifetime the President constantly dissuaded them from praising him as he always regarded himself as the son and servant of the people, but he was glad to be called “father”.
He was the President of the dignified DPRK and founder of the ever-victorious Workers’ Party of Korea and received numerous honorary titles from around the world, but he was most proud of being called “father” by the people.
All his attention was focused on providing them with better food, clothing and housing.
As he devoted his all to the good of them, regarding the pains he took for them as his greatest pleasure, the people keep deep yearning for him as they call him their father.
Our father! Along with this appellation Kim Il Sung lives forever in the hearts of the people.
