Working people’s organizations held a variety of events to mark the 26th anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
Officials and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea had study sessions on the virtues of the Chairman respectively at the Central Hall of Workers in Pyongyang on April 3 and at the Samjigang Cooperative Farm in Jaeryong County of South Hwanghae Province on April 7, and officials and members of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea and youth and students held dances in different parts of the country on April 9.
The venues were pervaded with deep reverence for the Chairman who laid eternal foundations for everlasting prosperity of Kim Il Sung’s nation with ardent love for and devotion to the country and people.
