On the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il, remembrance committees were formed in many countries. They included Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iran, Syria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Belarus, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Austria, the UK, Switzerland, Italy, Iceland, Ethiopia, Algeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Uganda, Congo, Libya, Zambia, Senegal, Angola, Venezuela and Brazil. And seminars on the Chairman’s exploits, film shows and other political and cultural events were held to widely introduce and propagate his sacred revolutionary life and undying exploits performed for the accomplishment of the cause of global independence.
Speakers said that Chairman Kim Jong Il proved through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities that socialism would surely emerge victorious as it is a science, he was the people’s leader who regarded them as God and devoted his whole lifetime to their well-being, and that he was a prominent thinker, theoretician and statesman who enriched the Juche idea propound by President Kim Il Sung, safeguarded national sovereignty and socialism by dint of Songun politics and made a great contribution to accomplishing the cause of global independence.
They also said that the DPRK could shine brilliantly in the world as an invincible fortress of socialism thanks to the Chairman’s Songun politics, adding that his august name will be kept forever in the hearts of the world’s progressives, to say nothing of the Korean people.
