Meetings, book and photo shows, seminars, film shows and other events took place in Russia, Belarus, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Nigeria, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Iceland, India, Bangladesh, Sweden and other countries to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s election as general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the 73rd founding anniversary of the WPK and the 92nd anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.
They were attended by personages and people of all social standings of corresponding countries.
Speakers at the events said that the WPK is a revolutionary party that emerged victorious under the guidance of the great leaders and its experience is a valuable example after which the world’s progressive parties should learn.
They noted that the WPK has been developing into an invincible party which guides the Korean people’s struggle for safeguarding the national sovereignty and building socialism under the wise leadership of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who successfully carries on the cause of the preceding leaders.
